Keychain Rectangle 3D for Scorpio

The scorpion engraved inside a block of optical crystal, the constellation traced around it and the name below, carried on a ring by a metal cap fitted to the top. A scorpio keychain uses the shape of the object better than most of the twelve: the long body and the curved tail run from the bottom of the crystal to the top, so the figure fills the height instead of sitting in the middle of it.

A Figure That Uses the Whole Block

Most of the signs are compact creatures that occupy a central patch and leave clear crystal above and below. The scorpion is the opposite. It is the one design here with a long trailing line, and that line is engraved at varying depths, so the tail genuinely recedes as it curls rather than lying flat with the body. Turn the crystal in your fingers and the curve moves against the front face. On an object this small that is the only effect that reads as three dimensional rather than as an etched outline.

A Sign That Prefers Not to Explain Itself

Scorpio is traditionally associated with intensity, privacy and a long memory, and is the sign most often described in terms its own people find unfair. A keyring is a quieter way to carry it than anything worn: it lives in a pocket, it is seen by whoever is at the counter when the keys come out, and it says nothing beyond the name at the bottom of the crystal. For a sign that dislikes being read, the smallest format in the series is arguably the right one.

Sizes and What Is Included

Three sizes, all 0.59 inches deep: 0.79 by 1.18 inches at 0.09 pounds, 0.98 by 1.38 at 0.11, 1.18 by 1.57 at 0.14. On a design that runs the full height, the extra height of the large version is more noticeable here than on the compact signs. Keys and coins reach the polished faces and never the engraving, and there is nothing printed on the outside to wear away. A metal cap and ring sit at the top of the block. Nothing is uploaded and nothing waits for approval. Extras include crystal accessories, gift wrapping, a pop up greeting card and a cleaning kit. Gift box included, made in 1-2 business days, US delivery in 3-5.
