Keychain Rectangle 3D for Aquarius

The water bearer engraved inside a block of optical crystal, the constellation drawn behind the figure and the name beneath, on a ring fitted to the top by a metal cap. An aquarius keychain is the only design in this series where the figure is doing something to a second thing: the jar and what pours from it are part of the picture, not background behind it.

Two Elements in One Small Engraving

That could easily turn to mush at under an inch across, and the reason it does not is depth. The figure, the vessel and the stream are cut at different levels inside the crystal, so they separate when the block is turned instead of overlapping on one plane. It is the busiest composition of the twelve, which also means the large size at 1.18 by 1.57 inches gives it noticeably more room than the small one does. Of the twelve this and the twins are the two where that choice is worth thinking about.

A Sign That Does Not Want a Statement Piece

Aquarius is traditionally associated with independence and a certain distance from whatever everyone else is doing, including, often enough, from astrology itself. The carried format suits that better than the shelf crystal in the same series: a keyring is not on display in anybody's living room, it does not have to be explained to visitors, and it can be accepted with a raised eyebrow and used anyway. That is usually how these end up being received, and it is not a problem.

Three Sizes, Wear and Ordering

All sizes are 0.59 inches deep: 0.79 by 1.18 inches at 0.09 pounds, 0.98 by 1.38 at 0.11, and 1.18 by 1.57 at 0.14. The engraving is inside the crystal and the outside is polished and bare, so keys, coins and bag linings touch the surface and never the figure, and there is no printed or plated layer to wear through. The ring attaches through a metal cap seated on top of the crystal. The design is made already: no photograph, no positioning, no proof. Add-ons run to crystal accessories, gift wrapping, a pop up greeting card and a cleaning kit. Gift box included, made in 1-2 business days, US delivery in 3-5.
