Keychain Rectangle 3D for Sagittarius

The archer engraved inside a block of optical crystal, bow drawn, with the constellation traced behind and the name beneath, on a ring fitted to the top by a metal cap. A sagittarius keychain is the only one of the twelve whose figure is caught in the middle of doing something, and on an object that moves around all day that is a better fit than a creature standing still.

The One Design With Motion in It

Eleven of these are portraits: an animal, a person, a pair of scales. This one is a drawn bow with the arrow still on the string, which means the figure has direction and tension built into it. Engraved at varying depths, the bow sits forward of the body and the arrow forward of the bow, so the three elements separate when you turn the crystal rather than collapsing into one plane. On a small object that separation is what keeps a busy design readable.

A Sign That Is Rarely in the Same Place

Sagittarius is traditionally associated with travel, restlessness and an impatience with staying put, which makes the carried format the obviously right one. A crystal on a shelf is for a person with a settled shelf. A keyring goes wherever the keys go, through airports and other people's flats, and at under a tenth of a pound it is not something anyone has to decide whether to pack. For this sign the keychain is the better present, and the shelf crystal in the same series is the compromise.

Three Sizes, Wear and Ordering

Three sizes are made, all cut to the same slim depth, so moving up buys more room for the archer rather than a thicker block. The engraving sits inside the crystal and the outside is polished and blank, so keys, coins and zips meet only the surface and never the figure. The ring is held by a metal cap at the top of the crystal, with no frame around the block. Because the design is already made, nothing is uploaded and no proof has to come back approved before it ships.

Crystal accessories, gift wrapping, a pop up greeting card and a cleaning kit are available. It arrives in a gift box.
