Why Choose a Rectangle Keychain Over a Heart
A heart requires the photograph to be cropped into a curve, which usually costs you the edges of a group or the top of a subject. A rectangle keeps the proportions of the original shot, so a custom rectangle keychain suits two or three people side by side, a portrait with shoulders, a car, a house or a landscape. Sub-Surface Laser Engraving
Your photograph is created inside the crystal, not on it. A focused laser fractures the glass at controlled internal depths, and millions of those microscopic points build the image as a three-dimensional form. Nothing sits on the surface, so the picture cannot abrade against keys, cloud with wear or fade in sunlight. This is the practical difference between a crystal photo keychain and a printed or resin one, and it is why ours are still legible after years in a pocket.
Getting Enough Detail on a Rectangle Keyring
A keychain is small, so the subject has to be close in the original photograph. One or two faces filling the frame engrave clearly. A distant shot, a full-length photo or a large group will not survive the reduction, and our designers say so when they send the proof rather than engraving something unrecognisable. Close daylight phone photos are usually excellent source material.
The Lighted 3D Crystal Keychain
The plain version relies on ambient light passing through the crystal. The LED version has a small light in the metal frame: press it and the engraved points glow while the clear glass around them stays invisible, which reads well in a dark car or a bag. Both take the same engraving and the same text options.
Text, Proofing and Delivery
Names, initials, dates and short phrases can be engraved beside the image at no extra design cost; add the wording at checkout. A designer prepares your photo and emails a free digital proof, usually within a day, and revises until you approve it. The finished keychain is boxed with a microfiber cloth and ships within 3-5 business days in the US.
