Why Choose a Crystal Dog Paw with a Photo Inside?

Every other shape in our range has to be explained. This one does not. A crystal dog paw tells you what it is from across the room, and it tells you who it is for before anyone has looked closely enough to see the face engraved inside it.

Each paw is laser-engraved by our team in Chicago, thousands of points placed inside solid optical crystal so the image sits in depth, in the glass, permanently. Nothing is printed on the surface. A dog crystal in the outline of a paw does something a rectangle cannot - it declares the subject before the subject is visible. Picking the Perfect Photo for Your Pet Paw Crystal

Animals are harder to photograph than people, and we know it. You may not have a clean portrait. You may have three hundred pictures and no good ones. Send us the best you have and let our design team look at it - we adjust photos as a matter of routine, and we have engraved images that their owners had written off.

What helps: good light, no motion blur, and the animal's face turned toward the camera. What matters more: that the photo is the one you actually want. A slightly imperfect picture of the right moment beats a technically perfect one of the wrong one, every time.

• Are there visible defects in the crystal?
