Why Choose a Bone-Shaped Crystal with a Photo Inside?

A bone is not a solemn shape, and that is precisely the argument for it. It is the shape of a treat, a toy, a thing buried in a garden and dug up again three days later. It is the shape of the part of a dog's life that made everybody laugh.

Is a Bone Crystal the Right Gift for You?

Two questions. Is the animal a dog? And is the register right?

The first is straightforward - a bone is a dog's shape, and a cat owner will feel the mismatch immediately. If your photo is of a cat, the paw is the shape you want.

The second matters more. As a gift to a living dog's owner, this is close to perfect: it is warm, a little funny, and it says you paid attention to the animal rather than to the occasion. Picking the Perfect Photo for Your Bone Crystal

Dogs do not pose. We know this, and we plan for it. Send us the best photo you have and let our design team look at it - we adjust images as a matter of routine, and we have engraved plenty that their owners had already given up on.

What helps: good light, no motion blur, and the face turned toward the camera. What helps specifically here: the bone is a wide, horizontal shape, so a 3d crystal dog photo taken in landscape sits in it far more naturally than a tall one. A dog lying down, running, or looking sideways at the camera fills this outline beautifully. A vertical shot of a dog sitting upright will need cropping - send it anyway, and we will show you what we would trim.

The bone is a narrow shape with rounded ends, which leaves less usable engraving area than any other crystal in the range. There is no margin to absorb an error. An image placed a few millimetres off centre does not look slightly off here - it looks wrong, immediately, because the outline is so recognisable that your eye knows where the middle should be.

And a 3d glass pet memorial is not a thing anyone reorders. So a person, not a machine, signs off on every one before it is packed, against the same eight points:

• Is the face clear?
• Is the text readable?
• Are there visible defects in the crystal?
• Is the engraving depth correct?
