Four steps, from upload to delivery: 3D laser engraving, a preview you approve, and same-day shipping on your crystal photo gift.
The 3D Crystal Heart is the most emotionally direct shape we make: the curved silhouette says what the gift means before anyone looks closely at the photo inside. It suits a partner, a spouse or a mother better than any other form in our range. A glass heart with picture inside frames one face beautifully and still has room for two people standing close together. For a colleague, a team or a formal occasion, the square or the rectangle is the safer choice. Every engraved crystal heart is made to order from the photo you send us, and nothing is mass produced or kept on a shelf.
A laser etched crystal heart is engraved from within, not printed on the surface. The laser focuses below the face of the crystal and leaves millions of tiny points that build your image in three dimensions. Because the etching is sealed inside, a 3d glass heart never fades, peels or yellows the way a print behind glass eventually does. Dust, fingerprints and direct sunlight cannot reach the image at all. Each heart shaped crystal with engraved photo is cut from optically clear K9 crystal, a glass grade chosen for how cleanly it carries light. That clarity is what gives the engraving its depth when you turn the piece in your hand.
A heart shaped 3d photo crystal catches daylight on a windowsill without any help. In a dim room it needs a light source underneath, and that is what the LED base is for. It sends light up through the engraving so the image appears to float inside the crystal. Sizes run from a small desk keepsake to a piece that anchors a shelf, and a larger crystal heart with photo holds more detail when two faces share the frame.
Send any picture you like, including a phone shot taken years ago. Our designers retouch it first and email you a free proof, so you see how the picture in crystal heart form will look before we engrave a single point. Nothing goes to the laser until you approve that proof. A heart crystal photo suits Valentine's Day, a wedding anniversary, Mother's Day or an engagement, and it reads as a keepsake rather than a decoration. Every order ships in a gift box, is made in 1-2 business days, and reaches US addresses in 3-5.
More laser dots = more wow in every crystal, resulting in smoother, more defined and solid images. Next-level detail, same unforgettable memories.

Every other shape waits for you to look at the photograph before it tells you anything. This one has already spoken. A glass heart with picture inside announces its intent from across a room, before the recipient is close enough to see whose face is held in it, and that head start is the whole argument for the shape. The image itself is laser-engraved by the ArtPix 3D team, suspended at varying depths so a 3D heart crystal photo shifts as you move around it.
An engraved crystal heart is the most emotionally direct object in the range. That is a strength when the message is affection and a liability when it is anything else.
Partners and spouses first, then mothers and grandmothers. Anyone the gift is meant to say I love you to, without hedging. A crystal glass heart is the piece people buy when the relationship is the subject and the photograph is only the evidence, which is why the most-ordered image for it is not a portrait at all but two people with their heads together. Heart shaped crystals are bought for the relationship, not the likeness.
The occasions follow from that. It is the obvious choice among Valentine's Day gift ideas, and it is the shape most often ordered for anniversary gift ideas, particularly the fifteenth, where crystal is the traditional material. It works for Mother's Day gifts and sits comfortably among gift ideas for her at a birthday or an engagement.
Now the part worth saying plainly: it is wrong for a colleague. A heart with picture inside handed to someone you work with reads as a declaration whether or not you meant one, and there is no way to soften it. For a retirement, a work anniversary, a thank-you or a boss, use the square. For a formal portrait of a parent or a graduate, the rectangle is better suited. Choosing the wrong shape here costs more than choosing the wrong photograph.
Almost any photo works. Well-lit, unblurred, with the subject clearly visible, is the whole requirement; our design team adjusts the image and sends a free proof before engraving.
The quirk is the point at the bottom. The shape is widest across the top two lobes and narrows to nothing at the base, so anything in the lower third of your photograph is squeezed into a taper. Faces belong in the upper half, and a glass heart picture works best when the eyes sit level with the widest part of the shape. Two people side by side sit beautifully across the lobes, which is why a glass heart with picture inside suits couples better than any other shape we make. Full-length shots do not work here at all, because the legs run into the point. If your crystal heart with picture is meant to show a whole person rather than a face, choose a different shape and keep the photograph.
Curved edges are what make this shape difficult to check. There is no straight line anywhere on it, so a centring error cannot be measured against an edge the way it can on a block; it has to be judged against the symmetry of the two lobes, which the eye reads with surprising precision. An image sitting two millimetres left of true looks obviously wrong on a heart and would pass unnoticed on a rectangle. Centring is therefore verified against the outline itself before anything else. Every crystal is inspected before it leaves the facility:
The crystal ships only once every point passes.
