Depth Is the Whole Argument

At 2.76 inches the engraving field here is nearly twice as deep as the red accent heart and more than three times the flat heart. That extra depth is not decoration. It lets the laser place subjects at genuinely different distances from the front face, so a person in the foreground sits forward of the one behind them instead of sharing a plane with them. On a three dimensional engraving that separation is what stops a group photograph from looking like a cut out. Up to four figures are recommended, and this is the piece in the series best equipped to hold all four convincingly.

Ten Pounds of Crystal, and What That Means

This is closer to a piece of furniture than to a desk ornament. It needs a sideboard, a console or a mantelpiece rather than a bookshelf with other things on it, and it is heavy enough that once placed it stays placed.
