Set of 3 Medium 3D Crystal Rectangles

Three crystals 2.76 inches wide, 2.36 deep and 3.94 tall, 2.28 pounds each, carrying three separate photographs. Together they come to just under seven pounds, which is the weight at which a group stops being a shelf decoration and starts being an arrangement you plan a surface around.

Three Objects Can Be Composed

Two pieces have one possible relationship: side by side. Three have several. They can stand in a line, cluster in a triangle with one behind two, or step along a shelf at different heights with books underneath the outer ones. At this weight each piece stays put once you have placed it, so an arrangement that took five minutes to get right does not drift back out of alignment every time somebody dusts. This is the configuration people order when the crystals are meant to be a feature of the room rather than a record kept on a desk.

Mixing Upright and Wide

Each of the three is set portrait or landscape independently, which no other shape in this range allows. The combination that works most often is two upright and one wide, with the wide one in the centre, because a group photograph usually wants the width and single portraits usually want the height. Nothing stops you making all three upright if the pictures ask for it. The hearts in this range are fixed wide, so if one of your three photographs is a standing figure, these are the pieces that will hold it properly.

Three Files, Three Proofs

Each crystal is engraved in Ultra HD at varying depths from its own picture. Our designers retouch all three separately, lifting a dark face or cleaning a background, and email three proofs; the laser does not run until you have approved each one, which matters more on a set than on a single piece because three photographs are more likely to include one that needs work. Free text engraving is included on every crystal, so each can carry its own name or year. Backgrounds can be kept or removed one by one. Light bases can be added for any or all three, and lighting only the centre piece is a deliberate choice some people make rather than an oversight.
