What Gets Displayed in Twos

Two children. Two years of the same child. Two pets. A couple’s wedding ornament and their first Christmas ornament. A parent and a grandparent. Gold suits wood, brass, warm paint and traditional rooms, and tends to agree with the printed colour of our glass ornaments. The same stand is made in silver, which is the better pairing for chrome, steel, a cooler palette and our metal ornaments. On a double stand the finish is more visible than on a single, simply because there is more of it.

If the two ornaments are different sizes, hang the larger one on the side with more clearance and check that neither touches the base, since the bar sits at a fixed height and the small ornaments hang shorter than the large ones.
