September Storytelling Winner: A Gift to Last a Lifetime

For September, we chose a story about family, friendship, and two meaningful gifts.

A Gift to Last a Lifetime

“This past Christmas I gave my little brother one of your crystals featuring a 45-year-old photo of him and me as children. He broke down sobbing. He had been recently diagnosed with ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Many patients succumb within 2 years. I think he realized that this item was going to outlive him.

On August 16th, I gave his daughter a crystal that included her and her dad. They both wept. She keeps it in the original box because she is so scared of it breaking.

My brother is my best friend and has long since devoted his life to helping the underprivileged. At this point, it is very hard for him to walk or eat. If he falls, he can't catch himself. As this progresses, he will lose all control of motor functions, including eventually his ability to breathe.

It was nice to be able to give them such meaningful gifts. Especially due to the fact that I am notorious for thinking of such things at the last minute. I couldn't believe how quickly your team produced these.”

The products featured in this story are two personalized 3D Crystal Rectangles: one with a 45-year-old childhood photo of the customer and their little brother, and one of the brother with his daughter.
