3D Christmas Yellow Reindeer Card

A 3D Christmas yellow reindeer card, 6.1 inches square and 0.07 pounds. It is the lightest Christmas card we make and the simplest fold in the range.

The Lightest Construction

0.07 pounds, against 0.1 for the red reindeer and 0.11 for the big tree and sleigh cards. Fewer layers of cut paper and a simpler mechanism. That is not a complaint: a simple pop-up opens cleanly, posts easily and costs least to send in quantity, which is exactly what a Christmas card list needs.

Yellow Rather Than Red

Red is the seasonal colour and reads as Christmas immediately. Yellow is warmer and less fixed to the date, so this card still works for a winter message sent slightly outside the season, or for somebody who does not decorate in red.

Square, So It Stands

6.1 inches square gives the opened card a wide base, which is steadier on a mantel than a tall card. A reindeer in a square format is broader and shorter than in the portrait version, with less height for the antlers.

Specification

Yellow reindeer card, 6.1 by 6.1 inches closed, 0.08 inches thick flat, 0.07 pounds.

Nothing is personalised, so there is no proof to approve.

At 0.08 inches folded it posts in an ordinary square envelope.

Write the message yourself; the card arrives blank.

Order early, since December post runs slower than the rest of the year.

It folds flat afterwards and can be stored for the following year.

A red reindeer card is made at 6.1 by 8.07 inches, taller and with more paper in it.

For sending in numbers, the lighter square cards in the range are the practical ones.

Cut paper keeps its colour where printed ink fades, which is what makes a card worth storing for the following year.

A pop-up is a decoration that travels flat, which is the point of the format.

Because nothing is personalised, there is no proof to approve and nothing can arrive misspelled.

A short handwritten line underneath is enough; the design carries the occasion.

At 6.1 inches square it takes the same envelope as the small tree and little sleigh cards, which helps when buying envelopes for a batch.

Reindeer suit a household with children better than a workplace card, where a tree is the safer design.
