When Technology Feels Like Magic

Our advanced 3D laser engraving process blends precision engineering with artisan craftsmanship.

Photo Retouching
STEP 1

Photo Retouching

Advanced algorithms analyze the photo to identify key features, depth, and optimal points for 3D conversion.

STEP 2

3D Modeling

Our proprietary software creates a precise 3D model with millions of coordinate points for laser guidance.

STEP 3

Laser Engraving

A high-powered laser creates microscopic fractures inside the crystal at exact coordinates, forming the 3D image.

How Subsurface Engraving Works

Understanding the advanced physics and precision engineering behind our 3D crystal creation.

The laser beam is focused to a microscopic point inside the crystal, creating intense heat at that exact location while leaving the surface untouched.

At each precise coordinate, the laser generates a micro-fracture — a tiny structural change inside the crystal that reflects and scatters light. Millions of these points, placed with sub-millimeter accuracy, come together to form the full detail of your image.

Our software maps your photo into a three-dimensional point cloud — a precise spatial grid of millions of coordinates. The laser follows this map layer by layer, building depth into the crystal from the inside out. The result is an image with real dimensional depth, not a flat print.

Once engraved, your image is permanently sealed within the crystal structure itself — not on the surface. It cannot be scratched away, faded by sunlight, or damaged by moisture. Your keepsake will maintain perfect clarity and detail for a lifetime.

The Process, Step by Step

A closer look at every stage — what we do, what equipment we use, and why it matters for your final crystal.

  1. PRE-PRODUCTION

    Photo Analysis & Retouching

Our retouching team — not a machine — reviews your photo for clarity, contrast, lighting and subject isolation. We enhance details to HD using proprietary tools designed specifically for laser engraving.

  2. PROCESSING

    3D Model Generation

The retouched photo is converted into a three-dimensional point cloud. Our software calculates depth, layer ordering and dot density across millions of coordinates — the blueprint the laser will follow.

  3. ENGRAVING

    Subsurface Laser Engraving

A focused 532 nm pulsed laser fires up to 5,000 microscopic pulses per second, each creating a precisely-positioned micro-fracture inside the K9 crystal. The crystal's surface remains untouched.

  4. FINISHING

    Inspection, Polishing & Packing

Every crystal is inspected by hand under high-contrast lighting against the original 3D model. Approved pieces are polished, fitted with their LED base (if ordered), and packed in premium presentation boxes.

FAQ

Everything you need to know about the product and billing.

How are 3D crystal pictures made?
3D crystal pictures are made by converting your photo into a detailed 3D model, then using a high-powered laser to engrave millions of microscopic points inside premium crystal - never on the surface. This innovative process permanently seals your image within the crystal, creating a lifelike, three-dimensional keepsake that will retain its clarity and detail for a lifetime.
How long does it take to make a 3D crystal?
Most orders are produced within 1-2 business days. Shipping times vary based on your location and selected shipping method. Express shipping options are available if you need your crystal sooner.
Will my crystal arrive safely?
Absolutely! Each crystal is carefully packaged in a sturdy gift box designed specifically to prevent damage during transit, but sometimes things happen. If your order does arrive damaged, reach out to us right away for assistance!
Can I see a preview before production?
Yes! After you upload your photo and complete your order, we'll send you a digital proof within 4-16 hours showing how your image will appear in the crystal. You can approve it or request adjustments before we begin engraving.
What if I'm not happy with my crystal?
Your satisfaction is our priority. If you're not completely happy with your crystal, please reach out to our customer support team, and we'll work with you to make it right.
Does the LED base require batteries?
Our wood and plastic bases are plug-in only. Our rotating base gives you flexibility—it can be plugged in or run on batteries for cordless display. Check the product page for details on each base type.
Can I order crystals in bulk for corporate gifts?
Yes! We offer bulk pricing and corporate gift programs. Contact our Customer Service team for custom quotes and volume discounts.
How do I clean and care for my crystal?
We offer a cleaning kit that includes sand, deionized water, and a microfiber cloth for the best results. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, and keep your crystal away from direct sunlight for extended periods to preserve its clarity.
